Responsive Leadership for a Diverse Community

Description

The “Responsive Leadership for a Diverse Community Program” takes community leaders on a personal journey towards becoming an effective champion for diversity in the community. The program contains four one day modules with a focus on leadership attributes, cultural competency, diversity and personal awareness. as outlined in the participant’s curriculum binder. This program is facilitated and involves a number of aditional Subject Matter Experts, who present throughout the program. During the program participants are expected to transfer their learnings into the community and to provide feedback of their experiences. Participants received a Certification of Completion upon successful conclusion of the program. The Responsive Leadership Programs provide leaders with the leadership attributes and knowledge necessary for championing a diverse community and in doing so, their capacity to integrate and retain Internationally Educated Health Professionals. Employees from the PEI Association for Newcomers to Canada facilitate this program on PEI.
